Here, we look at the ten youngest players in Premier League history and where they are now.
11. Jack Wilshere – Arsenal – 16y 256d

His ability in Arsenal’s junior program was so impressive that the manager advanced him to the senior team at the age of 16. Wilshere made his debut against Blackburn, surpassing Cesc Fabregas as the club’s youngest-ever league player.
However, injury hampered his playing time, and he participated in 197 games for Arsenal before relocating. Wilshere presently plays for AGF in the Danish Superliga.
10. Jack Robinson – Liverpool – 16y 250d
Robinson began his career on a high note, but a lack of playing time forced his career to stall. His football career began in Melwood before making his Premier League debut for Rafael Benitez’s Liverpool against Hull City, going on as a substitute and becoming the club’s youngest player in history.
However, in his four years at Liverpool, he only made 11 appearances and later began swapping teams, having played on loan for Wolves, Queens Park Rangers, Nottingham Forest, Blackpool, and Huddersfield before permanently joining Sheffield United.
9. Reece Oxford – West Ham – 16y 236d
He joined the Hammers at the age of 16 and was quickly promoted to the senior squad, where he made his Europa League debut in a 3-0 win over Andorran side Lusitanos.
In August 2015, he made his Premier League debut against Arsenal, where he impressed in a 2-0 victory. However, his career did not pan out. The player was loaned to the German club FC Augsburg, which later became permanent.
8. Gary McSheffrey – Coventry – 16y 198d

McSheffrey spent a year with them before heading to Steve Bruce’s Birmingham. He went on to play for other teams before retiring. He is presently the manager of Doncaster Rovers.
7. Rushian Hepburn -Murphy – Aston Villa – 16y 198d
Following his debut for Aston Villa’s first team seven years ago, the Englishman faced high expectations early in his career. He came in in place of Christian Benteke in Sunderland’s 4-0 victory. However, following three dismal experiences at Cambridge, Tranmere, and Derby County, Villa were compelled to dismiss him.
Pafos, a club in the Cypriot First Division, swiftly signed the adolescent. He now has another chance to revive his career and return to the Premier League.
6. Jose Baxter – Everton – 16y 191d
When he was younger, Baxter jumped at the chance to play for Everton’s senior squad in the Premier League. The 16-year-old came off the bench and was dubbed the Premier League’s youngest Everton player.
His career, however, faltered, and he joined various clubs as a result. He signed with Memphis 901 of the USL Championship in 2020.
5. Aaron Lennon – Leeds – 16y 129d
The Leeds academy product rose through the ranks and was promoted to the senior team. Lennon became the club’s youngest-ever player after coming on as a substitute in a 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in August 2003.
Tottenham were the first to sign the winger after impressing a number of Premier League clubs. Lennon spent a considerable portion of his career at White Hart Lane, making 364 appearances. He was also called up to the England national team. Lennon went around the Premier League, changing teams before settling down at Burnley.
4. Isaiah Brown (West Brom) – 16y 117d
Brown had a dismal career as well, and the only record he could set was becoming the Premier League’s second-youngest debutant. He made one appearance for the Baggies, in a 3-2 defeat to Wigan.
Chelsea recognized something exceptional in him and signed him, but he failed to impress Jose Mourinho time and again. Isaiah became the unfortunate victim of pressure and publicity and was eventually loaned away.
3. Matthew Briggs – Fulham – 16y 68d
Briggs was a superb player whose career took off when he played for Fulham in the Premier League in 2006/07. But his playing time was cut short, and he spent a lot of time switching clubs. As a result, the player’s career declined.
2. Harvey Elliott – Fulham – 16y 30d
The sky is the limit for Harvey Elliott, who is currently playing for one of Europe’s greatest teams. The West London debutant was a youthful prodigy, one of the youngest to gain prominence swiftly. He made his Premier League debut against Wolves in the 2018/2019 season, surpassing the record for the youngest Premier League debutant by 38 days.
Harvey Elliott was signed by Liverpool after only a year of erupting onto the scene and establishing his ability. He is currently a key element of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool squad, having just scored his first Liverpool goal in a 9-0 thrashing of Bournemouth.

Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri is the most recent member to the list. In September 18, he came on as a substitute against Brentford. He is only 15 years old, but he has a lot to show the world!
